Our Distinctive Voyage Tour: The Wonders of Ephesus

After getting introduced to your guide, head to Selcuk. This small town was the very first settlement of Ephesus. Start your morning visiting the city of Ephesus where history and archaeology will offer you their majesty with incredible richness.


You will be walking on the Marble Road that runs through the city, including the Temple of Hadrian and the Library of Celsus. You will also tour the Terrace Houses, the ancient residential section of Ephesus, where you will be observing the flamboyant style of luxurious life of Ephesians. Concluding our exploration of Ephesus, we will continue to our restaurant that is part of an olive farm run by a local family. Upon arrival, you will be given a private performance of Turkish Folk Dance group of Municipality of Selcuk.


Enjoy a delightful lunch cooked by your local host, Mrs. Hatice Mercan who runs her olive farm producing some of the tastiest olive and olive oil of the region. After lunch, you will head up the hills behind Ephesus, where Virgin Mary is believed to have spent the last days of her life. Presently, there is a charming chapel, consecrated by Pope, at the very spot where existed the House of Virgin Mary.

En route back to Kusadasi you will stop at the remains of Temple of Artemis. The temple was built in 6th century BC and was known to have been the very first building ever-built entirely of marble. After completing your tour, Attend a demonstration on weaving arts and heritage of rug weaving before having your leisure time at the market or walk back to the ship.
