Stockholm Old City and Royal Palace Tour

Stockholm is a city where even the smallest cruise ships can't dock near the main tourist areas making a guided tour a must shore excursion. The walking tour of the Old Town is considered to be "strenuous" but really only involves walking about 1km on cobble streets and climbing two flights of stairs.

The main site in the Old City is the Royal Palace. The home of the Swedish throne for 7 generations. Your guide will walk you through several of the well appointed formal rooms in approximately 45 minutes - just enough time to get a feeling for the history of the country without feeling overwhelmed with facts. 

The statutes and portraits the line the walls are well preserved and impressive. 

The balance of your 1/2 day tour is spent wandering the streets and maybe enjoying a coffee while people watching. The tour provides a wonderful way to be introduced to the city of Stockholm and the Swedish culture.
