We have School Teachers, Principals, Business Executives, Firemen, Nurses, stay at home Parents, and those who have been selling travel as a career since they completed school. Some treat their new career as a means a supplementing their income, others see it as a new career profession. Our Cruise Specialists do share a few attributes: they want to learn, they enjoy dealing with people, they have excellent communication skills, and they LOVE to travel and share their experiences.

Cruise Holidays is North America’s oldest cruise specialty retailer. We have franchise locations throughout Canada and the USA. We are now celebrating 25 years of making our clients travel dreams a reality! You have the option of using our office at Highway 7 and Woodbine Ave in Markham (Michael Angelo’s Marketplace) as your professional base, or you can work from your home office in any part of Canada. With the use of our web based applications you are free to work anywhere and at anytime. You will have acces our sales and marketing team who will assist in the development of promotional materials and act as your "Cruise Coach".

Getting Started

Over these years we have developed the systems that are necessary to ensure you can quickly succeed in your new venture. We have our own certification program that allows you to learn at your own pace and when completed is broadly recognized in the cruise travel industry. Frequent seminars and cruise line sponsored events help to keep you up to date with the latest industry developments. There really is no better way to learn about the industry than to experience the product first hand. We encourage our Specialists to travel frequently and many of our suppliers provide “seminars at sea” where you can sail and learn at the same time!

Investment

We believe that your commitment to us and to learn the business is already a significant investment. There are however training programs and certification programs that have costs associated with them. We would suggest you budget between $500 and $750 for these programs. We are very selective however on who can join our team because our clients expect us to employ true travel professionals. We do ask that you supply yourself with a computer (laptop) and a cell phone / pager.
